We call it our commitments to see further than our noses. Our spare time actions turn into our visions, we constantly expand our influence, and try to make a contribution to support sustainable tourism.

Going beyond borders. This is Markus’ way of interpretation of pilgrimages and hiking on Saint James’ Ways from Salzburg via Valley Aurina to Bressanone-Brixen. The aim of this journey? Finding connections from one cathedral to the other cathedral, from Austria’s East Tyrol to Italy’s South Tyrol. This is what we think of pilgrimage without conventions, it’s hiking in meditation, it’s hiking in everyone’s own belief.

It’s our job to undermine these boundaries between youth travel and the idea of meditative, inspiring hiking.

We present: Weixl. Right there she shows herself at her most beautiful as a guest and model at Hotel Steinpent. Just like her about 60 roomies she wears horns. The other ladies and her give about 25 litres of hey milk a day. Around New Year’s she is on holidays for about two months. The ladies and gentlemen all have names (this is special for male bulls, it’s been introduced by Dominik and Patrick), and they spend a beautiful life as organic bulls. The organic feast on the hotels’ plates inter alia is from the Künig farm.

From far you will notice the colourful flag in the hotel’s garden at the edge of St. Johann. Markus has continued in the idea of the Belgian architect Kolhaas and of the former president of Italy, Romano Prodi. We unite Europe in our garden. This flag connects the single flags of the European countries in one. Initiated by Romano Prodi the team of Rem Kolhaas was commissioned to document the colours of the countries in their interaction. We host our guests from numerous nations; we want to see them united in our garden.

Youth in Action – your experts for youth travel to South Tyrol in Valley Aurina.

2012 17 hotels designed the cooperation Youth in Action. Some of these companies have been lead for three generations now, and are still full of vibrations and passion. The resulting experience is being used to develop modern, visionary ideas to offer the ideal accommodations for groups, class travel, pedagogic experience weeks and youth travel in South Tyrol.

Our hotels are equipped with special establishments for youth: large day rooms, fields, volleyball and basketball fields, party rooms and lecture halls.
